Art Print | Canberra Bus Shelter
The iconic Canberra Bus Shelter is depicted in this art print. This image was created digitally by illustrator Marisa Martin for this open edition.
Designed by Clem Cummings in 1974 for the National Capital Development Commission, the iconic Canberra Bus Shelter is an enduring example of Brutalist architecture. Cylindrical concrete in shape, they typically feature two fibreglass window frames & a curved bench. The original shelters were fitted with clear polycarbonate in the window frames though these proved a tempting target for vandals. They remain only in some older suburbs but nowadays are treated with nostalgia & love as indicated by their presence in art, earrings & on mugs.
The image measures 13cm wide by 18cm high and is printed on a sheet of A4 high resolution matte photo paper.
You can choose to receive the image framed for an additional cost in a deep frame with a matt board included. Frame measures 21cm x 30cm.
