The National Library of Australia at dusk is the subject of this print. This is a portrait shaped image and includes the stars above. This image was created digitally by illustrator Marisa Martin for this open edition.
The building was the result of a design competition won by Sydney firm Bunning & Madden. Influenced by the Parthenon, it was originally designed to be three buildings though only the centre building was ever constructed. The style is Contemporary Classical and was built using marble cladding with granite, bronze, slate and copper.
The building was opened by then Prime Minister John Gorton in 1968.
The image measures 13cm wide by 18cm high and is printed on a sheet of A4 high resolution matte photo paper.
