Black Mountain Tower in a Matchbox
A regular matchbox is given a makeover to become a cute tiny version of the great buildings of Canberra Australia and region. A keepsake you can fit in your hand. Photographs cover the box, a 3D printed and hand painted tower along with miniature plants are inside.
Telstra Tower was officially opened on May 15, 1980 by the then Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser. Built on the summit of Black Mountain Canberra, it soon became known to the locals as Black Mountain Tower. Rising 195 metres above the summit of Black Mountain, the Tower presents 360 degree views of Canberra & the surrounding area.
The Matchbox measures 5.4cm wide, 3.7cm tall and 1.7cm deep when closed. Each matchbox is handmade, so may differ from pictured slightly.
A lot of love has gone into the making of our dollhouses and each is a totally unique upcycled piece. They are significantly handmade and as such have their own personality and imperfections. Young people should be supervised and care should be taken when handling them.
