The Hyatt Hotel Canberra - in a matchbox
THE HYATT HOTEL CANBERRA
A regular matchbox is given a makeover to become a cute tiny version of the great buildings of Canberra Australia. A keepsake you can fit in your hand. Photographs cover the box and miniature people decorates the inside.
Opened in 1924, the Hyatt Hotel was originally known as Hostel No.1; then later as Hotel Canberra. Between the years 1976 and 1984 it was used as office space for parliamentary staff. Following a refurbishment project, completed in 1988, it re-opened as the Hyatt Hotel Canberra; at the time Canberra’s only five star hotel.
The Matchbox measures 5.4cm wide, 3.7cm tall and 1.7cm deep when closed.
The exact people and furniture may differ from pictured as each is individually hand-made. If you have something specific in mind for the people/furniture, please let us know when you order.
A lot of love has gone into the making of our dollhouses and each is a totally unique upcycled piece. They are significantly handmade and as such have their own personality and imperfections. Young people should be supervised and care should be taken when handling them.
