The Brassey Hotel, Canberra - in a matchbox
THE BRASSEY HOTEL
A regular matchbox is given a makeover to become a cute tiny version of the great buildings of Canberra Australia. A keepsake you can fit in your hand. Photographs cover the box and miniature people decorates the inside.
Completed in 1927 to coincide with the opening of Federal Parliament in Canberra, the Brassey was originally used as an exclusive boarding house for Members of Parliament and other officials.
The Matchbox measures 5.4cm wide, 3.7cm tall and 1.7cm deep when closed.
The exact people and furniture may differ from pictured as each is individually hand-made. If you have something specific in mind for the people/furniture, please let us know when you order.
A lot of love has gone into the making of our dollhouses and each is a totally unique upcycled piece. They are significantly handmade and as such have their own personality and imperfections. Young people should be supervised and care should be taken when handling them.
