Australian Parliament House, Canberra - in a matchbox
PARLIAMENT HOUSE, CANBERRA
A regular matchbox is given a makeover to become a cute tiny version of the great buildings of Canberra Australia. A keepsake you can fit in your hand. Photographs cover the box and plastic characters decorate the inside.
Opened in 1988 by Queen Elizabeth II, the building houses Australia's Federal Parliament. The Great Hall Tapestry is based on a painting by Arthur Boyd and was made by the Embroiderers' Guilds of Australia
The Matchbox measures 5.4cm wide, 3.7cm tall and 1.7cm deep when closed.
The exact people and furniture may differ from pictured as each is individually hand-made. If you have a specific configuration of people in mind, please let us know.
A lot of love has gone into the making of our dollhouses and each is a totally unique upcycled piece. They are significantly handmade and as such have their own personality and imperfections. Young people should be supervised and care should be taken when handling them.
