The Merry Go Round Carousel, Civic, Canberra - in a matchbox
THE MERRY GO ROUND, CIVIC, CANBERRA AUSTRALIA
A regular matchbox is given a makeover to become a cute tiny version of the great buildings of Canberra, Australia and region. A keepsake you can fit in your hand. Photographs cover the box and A 3D printed, hand painted carousel horse decorates the inside. The horse is printed using resin.
The Canberra Merry-Go-Round was designed and built by Herbert Thomson for German showman Anton Weigner in 1914 for use in St Kilda, Melbourne Victoria, Australia. Following extensive restoration works, it was installed in Petrie Plaza in Canberra City in March 1974.
The Matchbox measures 5.4cm wide, 3.7cm tall and 1.7cm deep when closed.
The exact painting of the horse may differ from pictured as each is individually hand-made. If you would like a particular colour of horse, please let us know.
A lot of love has gone into the making of our dollhouses and each is a totally unique upcycled piece. They are significantly handmade and as such have their own personality and imperfections. Young people should be supervised and care should be taken when handling them.
