The National Library of Australia, Canberra - in a matchbox
THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF AUSTRALIA, CANBERRA
A regular matchbox is given a makeover to become a cute tiny version of the great buildings of Canberra Australia. A keepsake you can fit in your hand. Photographs cover the box and miniature people decorates the inside.
The National Library of Australia was officially opened in 1968, the building was the result of a design competition won by Sydney firm Bunning and Madden. Influenced by the Parthenon it was originally designed to be three buildings though only the centre building was ever constructed.
The Matchbox measures 5.4cm wide, 3.7cm tall and 1.7cm deep when closed.
The exact people and furniture may differ from pictured as each is individually hand-made. If you have something specific in mind for the people/furniture, please let us know when you order.
A lot of love has gone into the making of our dollhouses and each is a totally unique upcycled piece. They are significantly handmade and as such have their own personality and imperfections. Young people should be supervised and care should be taken when handling them.
